Meet the People Behind the Trust
Duncan Dickson
Trustee and Chairman
Duncan is the elder son of the trust's founder, Ruth Dickson, and was appointed chairman of the trustees in 1998. A qualified lawyer, he has spent most of his working life in business in the Far East and the UK. Married with three daughters, his interests are playing badminton, walking and gardening.
Roger Barker
Trustee
Born in Stafford, Roger joined the trust shortly after its incorporation. A qualified lawyer and Notary Public, he was the senior partner in a firm of solicitors in Stafford up until retirement. Married with two children and six grandchildren, he can often be found on the golf course, crown green bowling or gardening.
Jo Heath
Trustee
Jo started working in the voluntary sector while raising a family after leaving her job as a PA, initially starting the Stone Volunteer Bureau and then forming a Stroke Club in Stone, which she ran for twenty five years. She also has experience relating to dyslexia and mental health.
Philip Corn
Trustee and Treasurer
A qualified accountant although now working in business, Philip joined the trust as treasurer back in 2005 and was appointed a trustee in 2014. A native of Staffordshire with family roots in the county going back several generations, his interests outside work are playing fives, bridge and being out in the countryside.
Antonia Stringer
Trustee
Antonia is Duncan's eldest daughter and the most recent addition to the trustees. A full time Pilates teacher, she lives in West Sussex with her partner and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, swimming and walking on the South Downs.
